You are a driver roaming Paradise City, an open-world setting of downtown streets, mountain roads, and hidden routes. There is no story-led campaign; the city is your driving playground.
Race across town, perform stunts, find jumps and shortcuts, and crash through traffic. Events reward knowing the roads and choosing your own route, while cars and motorbikes offer different ways to explore and compete.
Completing events advances your license and helps build your vehicle collection. The included additions bring Big Surf Island, online challenges and Cops and Robbers, plus a pass-the-controls party mode for group challenges.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its fast, destructive arcade driving, open-city routes, and the freedom to keep exploring or turn a race around with a shortcut. The soundtrack, vehicle variety, and nostalgic appeal also come up positively. At the same time, many supplied reviews report trouble launching the game or using controllers, often blaming the required EA app; experiences vary, and some players say it runs without problems.
