Hex of Steel is a turn-based WWII wargame in which you command a nation’s forces across scenarios set in theaters including Europe, Africa, and the Pacific. Play as different nations in battles and campaigns, against the AI or other players.
Move and fight with land, air, and naval units on hex maps. Plan around terrain, weather, fuel, ammunition, morale, and supply; coordinate unit types, use artillery and air support, and cut off enemy forces. Optional rules let you adjust which systems are active.
Scenarios and campaigns offer different scales of play, with core units carried between campaign missions. Research, policies, diplomacy, and resource management add strategic choices. Editors and random scenario generation let you create or vary battles, while multiplayer includes co-op, real-time play, and play-by-email.
