This standalone prologue follows Vasilisa on the first day of her journey to become a witch. As an apprentice sorcerer, she travels through the countryside of old Russia, helping local people and encountering creatures from Slavic mythology.

Explore the rural landscape, persuade otherworldly beings or battle them, and take on side quests and riddles. The story draws on Northern Russian folklore, with folk tales to discover and an in-game encyclopedia about its myths.

Combat is turn-based and card-based: collect spell cards and skills as you progress, then use your deck against supernatural foes. The prologue also involves uncovering the seals of the Black Book.
