In 1988, Delores Edmund returns to Thimbleweed Park for a vacation and takes a photography job with the local Nickel News. As she visits familiar places around town, she encounters changes and questions that seem out of place.
Explore locations, inspect and use objects, and solve point-and-click puzzles to find subjects for the newspaper's photo assignments. The requests range from straightforward discoveries to tasks that require figuring out how different clues fit together.
Assignments arrive in groups of five, with new sets to complete as you progress through a total of 30 photo requests. This compact standalone adventure revisits Thimbleweed Park's setting and characters without requiring prior experience with the original game.
Some players enjoy the brief return to Thimbleweed Park, especially its nostalgic setting, pixel art, music, and familiar humor. Others find the experience too short and prototype-like; reactions also vary on the puzzles, and some reviewers criticize the story or its ending.
