Dead Reset is an FMV sci-fi horror story starring surgeon Cole Mason, kidnapped and brought to an underwater research facility to operate on a patient carrying a parasite. After events turn deadly, Cole becomes caught in a cycle of deaths and returns, uncovering more about the facility and its inhabitants.
Most of the experience unfolds through filmed scenes. At decision points, choose Cole’s dialogue or actions, sometimes under a time limit; choices can change what happens next or lead to his death and another reset.
Choices also shape Cole’s relationships and alliances, with an in-game tracker showing those bonds and whether characters remain alive. Different paths lead to four endings, giving players reasons to revisit the story.
