In the fantasy world of Yerengal, civil war and a spreading curse of greed threaten the kingdom of Isilmerald. You create a protagonist whose birth holds a hidden legacy and travel through a conflict shaped by rival powers and dark gods.
Explore towns, wilderness, mines, and other locations; take on main and side quests; and recruit companions with their own stories and abilities. Choices in conversations and quests let you pursue goals through sorcery, stealth, persuasion, or force.
Build your character from several races and classes, with options to customize attributes, skills, abilities, and class combinations. Combat unfolds in real time with pause, letting you issue orders and use spells and skills. A Greed system tracks choices such as accepting, refusing, or demanding quest rewards, affecting the world over time.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its familiar, old-school party-RPG structure, character-building options, and the chance to explore a fantasy world through quests. Some also like its lore and the Greed system as a way to shape choices. Experiences vary: reviewers often criticize long loading screens, the interface and inventory management, and combat or writing that they find underdeveloped.
