Set in the Blessed Arknian Empire, the game follows Sir Brante through the early stages of his life. Society is divided into Lots assigned at birth, with nobles, clergy, and lowborn people expected to occupy very different places in the imperial order.
Presented largely through Brante’s journal, this text-focused RPG asks you to make decisions about his life rather than explore or fight. Choices can affect his personality, relationships, family standing, and the events that follow, with consequences that may surface much later.
Brante develops traits and skills such as determination, sensitivity, and endurance. These shape which options and opportunities become available, while branching paths point toward different roles and aims, including serving the Empire or challenging its order. A resurrection system lets him retain experience after death.
Players often praise the consequential choices, dark setting, and character development, noting that decisions can shape Brante’s skills, relationships, and later opportunities. Some also enjoy the journal-style presentation and illustrated atmosphere. Common reservations include the text-heavy pacing and the two-chapter release ending before the larger story develops; one review also notes that traits and past choices can restrict options.
