Play god and create your own world in this complex simulation. Plate tectonics, wind and water erosion and plant life all develop and interact to produce a world that is viewable from a single tree to kilometres across.

You create and customize a natural landscape, taking the role of a world-shaper rather than managing a settlement or character. Adjust the terrain yourself or let simulated plate tectonics build and alter it over time.
Water flows across the land, eroding and depositing material to form river networks, deltas, lakes, and oceans. You can change the terrain’s shape by raising, lowering, or flattening areas, then observe how those changes affect the flow of water.
As time advances rapidly, plants grow in places shaped by water availability, nutrients, and terrain. The view can zoom from individual plants and trees out to landscapes spanning hundreds of square kilometres.
Players who enjoy Terra Firma often praise the freedom to shape terrain and watch water and erosion transform it, describing the simulation as absorbing, relaxing, or useful for exploring geography. Some also value it as an educational or creative reference tool. A recurring reservation is that the experience offers few activities beyond setting up a landscape and observing it change, so some reviewers lose interest quickly.
Terra Firma gives you the power to play god in a simulated world where the forces of nature interact in complex ways. Currently in early access, right now you can
Watch water flow through the landscape, eroding and depositing the land to form complex arrangements of tributary river systems, river deltas, lakes and oceans in an emergent fashion.
Observe the ecosystem respond to the availability of water. Plants automatically gross across the lanscape with different plants thriving in different environments depending on the distribution of water, nutrients and the geometry of the land.
Create your landscape using simulated plate tectonics, watching mountains form, grow and erode as millions of years pass in the blink of an eye. Customize the landscape to your will, raising, lowering and flattening it to see how the enviornment changes as a result
Zoom all the way from looking at an individual tree or plant to view the entire map across hundreds of square kilometres
