Venba

You play as Venba, a South Indian mother who moves to Canada with her husband and son in the 1980s. The story follows the family over the years as they build a life in a new country and navigate family relationships and cultural identity.

Cooking is the main interactive activity: use a worn family cookbook to work out missing ingredients and steps, then prepare dishes in short puzzle sequences. The recipes include South Indian foods such as idlis, dosas, and biryani.

Conversations and moments from family life connect the cooking sections and carry the story forward. Completing dishes restores recipes in the book, linking food with the family's memories and traditions.
