After making a birthday wish, Sia travels between the present and the past, where he meets a woman he never had the chance to know. Their encounters return each summer, with the story unfolding across his birthdays.
Players advance through illustrated scenes by reading dialogue and interacting with objects. Small activities include writing, scrubbing, clicking and solving light puzzles.
Photography is a recurring part of Sia’s time with her: players take pictures and adjust camera settings such as focus and exposure. The encounters and photographs shape the story’s progression across its chapters.
Players who connect with Once Again often praise its brief, emotional story about memory, loss and saying goodbye, as well as its hand-drawn artwork and gentle soundtrack. Some also enjoy its calm pace and photography interactions.
