STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator

You play a businessman in 1980s Japan, building a fortune through the stock market and other investments. Buy and sell shares, follow prices, and collect dividends as the market changes.

Use your wealth to acquire real estate and cars or start and manage a company. Balance business decisions with your character’s health and comfort, and choose between legal ventures and riskier schemes.

Away from investing, spend time with friends and try activities such as pachinko and horse-race betting. As your assets and influence grow, you can take on larger business ambitions amid changing economic conditions.

Players in this sample often enjoy the steady climb from limited funds to major wealth, along with the retro presentation and the range of side activities. Company management and the mix of investing with social and daily-life systems also appeal to some. Recurring caveats are that gambling can feel more profitable than stock trading, market decisions may lack clear feedback, and late-game goals can thin out.
