Kaito wakes in a strange facility without his memories, alongside the quiet Yonagi and their overseer, Izumo. He is told that watching the stories in Yonagi's dreams may help him understand who he is and why he is there.
Those dreams contain three romances in very different settings: a modern academic drama, an Elizabethan theater story, and a summer journey built around a broken camper van. Each follows its own characters and conflicts.
The visual novel moves among these stories before bringing their threads together in a final case focused on Kaito and Yonagi. It is largely linear: choices can affect the order of some material, but do not open separate romance routes.
In the supplied reviews, players who enjoyed the game often highlight its emotional, character-focused storytelling and the way the separate cases connect in the final story. Romances, music, art, and voice performances also receive recurring praise. Reactions are mixed: some readers found particular cases uneven, the later story slow or difficult, or aspects of the relationships and plot choices uncomfortable.
