Northern Journey

Northern Journey is a single-player first-person adventure set in a strange northern wilderness inspired by Scandinavian folklore. After being taken to this land, you travel toward distant cold mountains while carrying out a request to retrieve objects.

Explore forests, swamps, caves, and other varied regions, following clues from unusual characters as you search for items and routes forward. Solve environmental puzzles, uncover supplies and upgrades, and revisit areas as new passages and shortcuts open up.

Combat relies on ranged weapons such as slings, bows, crossbows, and thrown axes, whose projectiles follow different trajectories. Along the way, you also dive, fly on kites, use ziplines, and encounter areas with their own mechanics; the journey mixes more open exploration with a largely linear progression.

Players often praise the game's distinctive atmosphere, striking wilderness environments, and level-specific music, as well as the sense of discovery across its varied regions.
