Dystopia is a multiplayer cyberpunk shooter where teams of punk mercenaries and corporate security forces battle over connected physical and digital spaces.
In the physical world, players fight with class-based weapons and use terminals to enter cyberspace. There, they battle enemy hackers and launch programs to hack or defend systems.
Maps connect objectives across both spaces: some can be completed in either one, while others require coordinated action in both. Three classes, weapon choices, and selectable implants let players shape their combat roles.
Players who enjoy Dystopia often praise its distinctive mix of physical firefights and cyberspace hacking, along with the class and implant options that support different playstyles. Team coordination and its cyberpunk setting also stand out. Some reviews note that the systems take time to learn, and many lament that servers are often empty.
