In matches of 4–10 players, you take the role of a Crewmate or an Impostor aboard a ship. Crewmates aim to finish their tasks or identify and eject the Impostor; Impostors try to eliminate the crew without being discovered.
Explore the ship from a first-person VR perspective, carry out tasks using hand-based controls, and watch other players for clues. Impostors can sabotage ship systems, use vents, and deceive the crew. Emergency Meetings let players share suspicions and vote.
Classic play can include additional roles, while Tag Mode pits Infected players against Crewmates completing tasks. Custom lobbies offer adjustable gameplay and moderation settings. Players can communicate with proximity voice chat, quick text, and gestures, and customize their Crewmate’s appearance with colors, hats, gloves, and skins.
Players who enjoy the game often point to how VR makes suspicion and deception feel more immediate: proximity chat, face-to-face accusations, and physical presence add tension and can make matches funny or startling.
