Sissel awakens as a ghost with no memory of who he was or how he died. With only the hours before sunrise to find answers, he follows a trail of murders and other events tied to his own fate.
You cannot move freely: you possess nearby objects and manipulate them to change what happens around you. At a recent death, you can rewind to four minutes before it happened and try to alter the events in time to save the victim.
Chapters combine environmental puzzles with conversations and travel between locations using phone lines. As the night unfolds, new clues connect the cases and bring Sissel closer to the truth; the HD remaster also includes updated visuals and sound, alternate music arrangements, and an artwork and music gallery.
Players frequently praise the tightly connected mystery, its unfolding revelations, and the way the ghost powers make puzzle-solving part of the story.
