Developed by Io-Interactive A/S · Published by Io-Interactive A/S

Agent 47 is betrayed by the Agency and hunted by police as he pursues a personal mission in a corrupt world. The campaign follows his attempt to find redemption amid the pursuit.
Move through guarded locations by sneaking, using cover, disguising yourself with outfits taken from others, and avoiding detection. You can also use objects and the environment to create opportunities, or turn to direct gunfire when stealth gives way to combat.
Instinct helps reveal enemy movements and supports deception while wearing disguises. Missions track performance through scores and challenges, encouraging players to try different ways through each stage.
Players who enjoy Absolution often praise its cinematic, character-focused story, dark atmosphere, and detailed settings. Reviews also value the mix of stealth, creative takedowns, and gunplay, though some find the levels too linear compared with other Hitman games and criticize how easily disguises can expose Agent 47.

Multiple reviews state the official Contracts servers are now offline, so multiplayer-related features are currently unavailable without unofficial emulation or hotfixes. |
| Multiplayer & mods | Multiple reviews mention unofficial workarounds such as a contract emulator or Github hotfix that can restore access to Contracts-related content on PC after the official servers were shut down. |
