You play a heroic spirit resurrected by the God of Chaos and sent back into an abyss overrun by demons and monsters. The journey takes you through varied ruined settings, including a lava-filled kingdom, a post-nuclear city, and a swamp planet.
Each run is a short survival battle against waves of enemies. Your weapons automatically seek targets, while you move through the battlefield and build a loadout of up to four weapons. Collecting upgrades shapes how those weapons attack and how they evolve.
There are 12 basic weapons with 72 possible artifact forms, along with weapon accessories, battlefield props, and drinks that can change the rules of a run. Outside battles, you can unlock characters and improve persistent upgrades.
