The Cave is a puzzle-platform adventure about seven unlikely adventurers, each drawn into a vast and unusual underground world for their own reasons. Choose three for each journey, with the Cave itself narrating their progress.
Explore connected side-scrolling areas, collect and use objects, and switch between your three characters to tackle environmental puzzles. Their different abilities help open routes and solve challenges, sometimes requiring them to work together.
The cave contains shared areas as well as character-specific locations and stories, ranging from a subterranean amusement park to a medieval castle. Return with different teams to discover other character chapters and collect hidden items; the game can also be played in local co-op.
Reviewers often enjoy the character stories, dry humor, and the Cave’s narration, along with the varied puzzles and distinctive settings.
