The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog

During Amy Rose’s birthday party aboard the Mirage Express, Sonic becomes the victim in a murder mystery. You play as a new train employee who joins Tails in investigating what happened.

Explore train carriages in a point-and-click format, inspecting the surroundings for clues and speaking with the Sonic characters aboard. Use the evidence you find to respond to suspects’ statements as the investigation progresses.

Some investigation moments lead to isometric runner minigames: control Sonic, collect rings, and avoid hazards. The story moves through a sequence of stages, and assist options let you adjust the minigame challenge.

In the supplied reviews, players often enjoy the character-focused writing, funny dialogue, and lighthearted mystery, along with the hand-drawn visuals and soundtrack. Some also like the ring-collecting minigames, though others find them difficult or tedious, especially later on.
