Shadow Warrior is a bold reimagining of the classic 3D Realms’ shooter from independent developer Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) starring the legendary and quick-witted warrior Lo Wang.
Developed by Flying Wild Hog · Published by Devolver Digital

You play as Lo Wang, a corporate mercenary sent to acquire a legendary blade. After the deal goes wrong and demons invade, he joins forces with Hoji, a demon from another realm, and sets out to stop the threat.
This single-player first-person action game mixes shooting with close-range katana combat. Fight through enemy-filled arenas, use different sword attacks and special techniques, switch between firearms, and call on mystical powers to hinder enemies or aid Lo Wang.
Progress by finding cash, Ki crystals, and karma: spend them on gun upgrades, new or improved powers, and character skills. Levels also hide secrets and collectibles that reward exploration.
Players who enjoy Shadow Warrior often praise the satisfying katana combat, fast and bloody fights, and the mix of swordplay, guns, and powers. Lo Wang and Hoji’s banter and the game’s crude humor also stand out for some. Common criticisms include repetitive encounters and enemy waves that can feel overly durable, especially later or at higher difficulties; some players also find the firearms less effective than the katana and levels difficult to navigate.
