You play an aspiring actor competing for a role in a slasher film directed by the notorious Director X. Up to eight players take part in the audition, each trying to outlast the other hopefuls.
Rounds assign you a rival to eliminate while another competitor is after you. Stalk targets, choose when to strike, and avoid drawing attention from guards and security cameras. Weapons range from guns and bats to frying pans and an exploding remote-controlled rat, with opportunities for environmental kills.
Matches take place across movie-studio sets, including a beach, a horror house, and a Vegas hotel. You can also manage character needs such as hunger, fatigue, hygiene, and entertainment; the game includes bots for matches without human opponents.
Reviewers often describe the game as funny, chaotic, and enjoyable, especially with friends. Some also appreciate its unusual movie-set premise and nostalgic appeal; a few mention playing against bots or pursuing its straightforward achievements. A recurring drawback is difficulty finding other players, which can limit the multiplayer experience.
