You play as Talion, a ranger bound to the wraith Celebrimbor, in Mordor. Pursue revenge against Sauron's forces while uncovering the truth behind the spirit who shares your body.
Explore open areas filled with orc patrols, camps, and strongholds. Fight with sword, bow, and wraith abilities, or use stealth, climbing, and parkour to reach enemies and attack from unexpected angles.
Develop Talion by unlocking skills and improving his weapons. Orc captains rise through a changing hierarchy, gain traits and weaknesses, and can remember encounters with you; learn their vulnerabilities and use domination to turn some into assets.
Players repeatedly praise the Nemesis system for turning encounters into personal rivalries as orcs remember past clashes, rise through the ranks, and return with new strengths.
