In the robotics campaign, you work for a science-focused space agency, directing rovers, landers, and probes across Mars to gather scientific data. Research unlocks new technologies and equipment as you explore different regions.
The manned-mission campaign puts you in the role of astronaut Mark Willis, the lone survivor of a failed Mars landing. Use your engineering skills to stay alive and construct machines that could help you return home.
In sandbox survival multiplayer, gather and refine Martian materials, then use a 3D printer to build habitat panels. Set up power, pressurize living spaces, grow crops, and operate vehicles and machinery to support a colony.
Some players enjoy the game’s unusual focus on Mars exploration and robotics, along with its immersive setting and varied play styles. The manned-survival campaign, scientific equipment, and vehicle mechanics are recurring draws. Reviews also frequently describe crashes, awkward controls, and uneven or slow progression as obstacles to enjoying those ideas.
