Caroline Walker travels to the remote town of Villa Hess to help her sister Anna, whose violent visions and drawings are coming to life. At a clinic in the mountains of southern Chile, the sisters are drawn into a new nightmare.
Explore locations including a convent, a shopping mall, and an abandoned school. Search rooms for supplies and clues, face creatures with improvised weapons, and decide when to fight or avoid enemies. The game uses fixed camera angles; classic play includes tank controls and limited saves, with an assisted mode also available.
Examine, manipulate, and combine items to solve puzzles and open new routes. Switch between realities and alter the past to change the present as you progress, while modifying weapons and using quick-select slots to change equipment during combat.
Players who enjoy classic survival horror often praise the tense atmosphere, detailed and varied locations, and the game’s fixed-camera style. Puzzles, expanded enemy and weapon variety, and boss encounters are also recurring points of enjoyment. Feedback is mixed on the challenge: some appreciate demanding puzzles and resource management, while others find the clues obscure or combat and supplies frustrating; some reviews also report progression-blocking bugs.
Following the harrowing events at Wildberger Hospital, Caroline Walker hopes for a normal life with her sister, Anna. Yet in the months that follow, Anna is haunted by visions of violence and death, compelling her to create disturbing drawings that rapidly manifest into horrifying reality.
Desperate to free her of this affliction, Caroline travels to the remote town of Villa Hess and a mysterious clinic nestled deep within the mountains of southern Chile. But behind the warm smiles of the facility’s serene staff lies a sickening truth, and the sisters soon find themselves at the center of an entirely new nightmare…
