In 2047, Tiberium covers much of Earth as the Third Tiberium War erupts. Command forces from the Global Defense Initiative, the Brotherhood of Nod, and the arriving Scrin across a conflict told from all three factions’ perspectives.
Gather Tiberium, build and manage a base, produce armies, and fight across the battlefield in real time. Factions have distinct units and tactics, with unit abilities and combinations adding options for attack and defense.
The single-player campaign spans more than 35 missions, linked by live-action story sequences. Skirmishes and multiplayer battles offer other ways to play, and the game includes a map editor for creating custom battlefields.
Players often praise the campaign’s story, varied missions, distinct factions, and live-action sequences, along with the familiar base-building and large-scale battles. Several describe returning to it for the classic RTS feel or childhood nostalgia. Some reviews also enjoy skirmishes and the game’s accessible pace, while others report that campaign difficulty and launch or compatibility problems can get in the way.
