The single-player campaign follows the Bad Company squad on a mission to avert a global military crisis. Its levels move through varied environments, and squadmates trade jokes amid the fighting.
Fight on foot with an assortment of weapons or use vehicles including tanks, ATVs, and helicopters. Destructible buildings and cover can be blasted away, changing where enemies can hide and where you can fire from.
Multiplayer is built around team combat on large maps, with matches supporting up to 32 players and squads of four. Modes include Rush and squad-only options; playing together can earn exclusive awards and achievements.
Reviews often praise the campaign’s humorous squad banter and characters, as well as the way destructible buildings affect firefights. Players also highlight the multiplayer, especially Rush, and the forceful weapon and explosion sounds. Some reviews criticize the campaign’s short length, while many lament that official multiplayer servers have been shut down and the game is no longer available for purchase.
