Fourteen years after subterranean Locust overrun the planet, soldier Marcus Fenix is freed from prison by his friend Dominic Santiago. Together with the rest of Delta Squad, they fight to stop the Locust threat.
The campaign is a third-person shooter built around taking cover, aiming and firing from behind obstacles, and moving between firefights. Players use a range of weapons, including a rifle fitted with a chainsaw, and can time reloads to improve them.
Play the story alone or with a friend in online co-op. Versus multiplayer offers competitive PvP modes; the campaign follows Delta Squad through its fight against the Locust.
