CastleMiner Z is a first-person survival game set in a vast, changing block world filled with hostile creatures, including zombies, skeletons, and dragons. Play alone or online with friends as you explore its biomes and caves.
Mine raw materials and craft weapons and tools, then use blocks to build structures and defenses. As you travel farther through increasingly dangerous areas, gather resources for stronger gear and face tougher enemies.
Choose among several modes: Endurance sends you across a randomized world where your party's death ends the run; Survival lets you build in a persistent world; Creative simplifies crafting and lets you adjust or remove enemies; and Dragon Survival pits you against waves of dragons. Worlds can be saved in every mode except Endurance.
Players often value CastleMiner Z as a nostalgic throwback, especially when revisiting it with friends. Reviews also enjoy its blend of block building, mining, guns, and monster survival, with some praising its eerie atmosphere and music. Others find the gameplay dated, limited, or less engaging alone, and some report technical problems or frustrating combat.
