You play as Nathan, stranded beneath the ocean after his submarine crashes. To get back to the surface, you must find the scattered pieces of the submarine and repair it.

Gather resources from the seafloor to craft equipment and weapons, expand a base, and refill your oxygen there. You can also manage stored items as you prepare to explore farther from safety.

Keep yourself fed by growing crops or catching fish, and watch out for hunger and dangerous sea life. Maps are randomly generated, and a separate Sandbox mode lets you explore and build without pursuing the escape objective.
