KickBeat is a rhythm-action game framed as kung fu combat. You control a fighter in an arena where opponents attack to the soundtrack, with a single-player campaign built around the fights.
Read each opponent’s movements and respond with button inputs on the beat, striking or defending in time with the music. Your inputs shape the onscreen fight between fully 3D animated characters.
The campaign includes 24 music tracks, and Free Play offers additional difficulty options. Beat Your Music lets you use your own music to generate custom tracks and fights.
In this small review sample, players who enjoy KickBeat often highlight its unusual blend of rhythm gameplay and kung fu combat, especially the satisfying flow of timed attacks and combos. Several also praise the soundtrack, while one mentions the story and humor. Critical comments point to limited content and repetition; players also raise concerns about custom-song setup, uneven difficulty, and how clearly some cues can be seen.
