Star Birds is a chill factory building and resource management game. Mine asteroids and create brain-twisting production networks. Level by level, you guide your feathered crew to new interstellar horizons!
Developed by Toukana Interactive · Published by Toukana Interactive, kurzgesagt - in a nutshell
You guide a crew of birds through a series of star systems, scanning asteroids and claiming sites for mining. Each asteroid has its own shape, resource deposits, and limited building space.
Set up extractors and production buildings, then connect them with pipes to turn raw materials into goods. Launch pads and landing pads carry resources between asteroids, while deliveries to the space station fulfill requests from your crew.
Complete level goals and optional challenges to earn rewards, upgrade the station, and research technologies that unlock production options and improve efficiency. Progress through new systems with different resources and environmental conditions.
Players who enjoy Star Birds often praise its colorful Kurzgesagt-inspired presentation and its relaxed, approachable take on resource puzzles. Reviews also highlight the satisfaction of arranging production chains and planning routes across asteroids. Others find the levels repetitive or the restricted pipe layouts frustrating, so the appeal of its compact, level-based format varies.
