Murder Miners is a voxel-style first-person arena shooter centered on multiplayer combat. Players can choose weapons when spawning or pick them up from maps, then use sprinting, wall-jumping, dashing, and hookshots to move through arenas.
Maps can be mined and reshaped during matches: players can open routes, build barriers, or fortify positions. The Minergun also supports making custom maps, which can be shared through Steam Workshop; map-making can be done cooperatively online.
In Infection, one player starts as a zombie and tries to infect the survivors. Humans can build forts, while zombies can dig through walls, grab players, and feast on corpses to level up their abilities. The game also includes split-screen play and zombie survival.
Players often enjoy Murder Miners as a casual multiplayer shooter to play with friends, with nostalgia for its earlier console days also recurring in the reviews. Some call out the destructible and buildable maps and Infection mode as fun twists. Others note that sparse online lobbies can make it harder to enjoy the multiplayer content.

We're working on the sequel, Murder Miners X. Please add it to your wishlist.
3-shot-kill pistol included, with new additions such as wall-jumping, unlimited sprint, multi-directional dashing, and alt-fire modes. Options let you choose your weapons when spawning, or have weapons as map pickups for classic arena shooter style gameplay.
One player starts as a zombie with the goal of infecting the other players until they've all turned over to the zombie army. The humans can use the Minergun to build forts, while the zombies can dig through walls and use their tentacle grab to reach higher places or pull players toward them. Unique to our game is the ability to feast on player corpses to level up your zombie. You can play this mode with up to 30 players. We'll usually have a full 30 player lobby in our weekly JForce play date. Come join us! It's a very intense experience when you're the last man standing and you have a whole swarm of player-controlled zombies coming after you.
The Minergun makes map-creation easy and fun. Almost every popular map you can think of has been remade by our community, and you can share them via Steam Workshop.
