Chip is an isometric puzzle game about helping a small robot recharge after the villain Rust imprisons him. Each level presents an energy source and a route to Chip that must be made to work.
To direct the energy, players tap, move, and rotate objects in the environment. Cannons launch it, mirrors redirect it, and magnets and other mechanisms alter its path or control its flow.
The game contains 75 levels across three packs, with puzzles that combine the objects in increasingly involved layouts. Hidden presents unlock costumes and accessories for customizing the robot characters; levels also reward efficient solutions based on time and moves.
Reviews that discuss Chip praise its logic puzzles and the planning involved in finding efficient solutions, with some enjoying the increasing challenge and colorful presentation. A few also mention costume rewards. Criticism includes repetition as the puzzles progress, dated graphics, awkward controls, and a short campaign; these points appear in only some of the supplied reviews.
