LOCKDOWN Protocol is a first-person social deduction game for 1–16 players. Most players are employees trying to complete their objectives, while a smaller group of hidden dissidents works to stop them without being identified.
Employees cooperate to complete tasks before time runs out. Dissidents can interfere with that effort, conceal important items, and mislead the group; players can also use weapons and other items during a round.
Real-time communication helps players coordinate tasks, question one another, and judge who to trust. Each round puts the players’ cooperation and suspicion against the clock.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its fun, unpredictable social play, especially with friends, and the humorous situations that emerge from players deceiving, accusing, or surprising one another. Some also appreciate the tasks and the freedom to approach rounds in different ways. At the same time, many reviews express disappointment with limited new content and maps, sparse updates, and the developers’ decision to move on from further development.
