In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, the team faces off against a robotic reincarnation of the Power Rangers' long-time nemesis. Robo Rita has conjured a portal to send herself back in time so she can finally vanquish the Power Rangers by forming an alliance with her younger self.

Robo Rita travels through time to join forces with her younger self, Rita Repulsa, and change events so the Power Rangers never form. Play as a Ranger fighting to stop their plans and protect the team's place in history.
The campaign centers on side-scrolling beat ’em up stages, where you battle groups of enemies with attacks, combos, and special moves. It also shifts into arcade-style shooting and driving sequences, including rides on Ranger bikes.
Pilot the Dinozords in action stages and take the Megazord into battles against giant foes. Between stages, you can spend earned points to improve Ranger stats; completing the campaign unlocks the Green Ranger.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its nostalgic Power Rangers references, colorful pixel-art presentation, and music. Many find the brawling fun, particularly in co-op, and like the shifts into bike, shooting, and Zord sequences.
