You manage a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city, rather than soldiers fighting on a battlefield. Keep the group alive while shortages, danger, and the uncertain duration of the war shape daily life.
During the day, maintain the shelter: make supplies and equipment, trade, and see to survivors’ needs. At night, choose someone to search locations for food, medicine, and materials while others stay behind to rest or guard the refuge.
Survivors can become hungry, sick, injured, exhausted, or distressed, and their traits affect how the group copes. Resources are limited, raids and changing conditions threaten the shelter, and choices about helping, trading, stealing, or fighting can have lasting consequences. Scenarios, characters, and events offer different challenges across playthroughs.
Players often value the civilian perspective and the way shelter management, risky night scavenging, and consequential choices make survival feel personal. Reviews also frequently praise the bleak atmosphere and memorable survivor stories. Some players find the experience emotionally draining, and others say repeated runs become predictable once they learn the locations and routines.
This War of Mine: Final Cut contains all the updates and free expansions released so far and introduces not only a new scenario but also expands all scenarios with the locations known from Stories DLCs - even if you don’t own those. In short words - that means you can now experience lots of never-seen-before playthroughs and struggle with new challenges.
Remastered versions of all the classic locations
One new classic scenario and a brand-new character

In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.
