We Love It's Guide to…

SOMA

Simon wakes in PATHOS-II, an underwater research station in crisis, surrounded by deserted facilities, hostile creatures, and machines behaving in unsettling ways. As he explores, he works to understand what happened to the station and its remaining inhabitants. In first person, you search rooms and corridors, interact with objects, examine terminals and records, solve environmental puzzles, and operate station systems. Clues gathered along the way gradually fill in the story of PATHOS-II. There is no combat: surviving encounters means hiding, outsmarting pursuers, or running. Conversations and difficult decisions add to the story as Simon confronts questions about consciousness, identity, and what it means to be human.

Awake in a ruined underwater station, Simon explores its corridors, solves puzzles, and evades threats while uncovering what happened.
