We Love It's Guide to…

Decktamer

You play an explorer descending into the abyss, where strange creatures grow more dangerous with depth. Instead of receiving creature cards as ordinary rewards, you can try to tame enemies during battles and add them to your team. Combat is turn-based. Creatures have health, speed, moves, and passive talents, and you choose how to deploy them and use their moves against enemies. Creatures that die are lost for the run, making survival, captures, and sacrifices consequential. Between battles, choose encounters and rewards while managing limited supplies. Syringes let you extract a creature’s move or talent and transfer it to another, creating custom combinations. Runs progress through deeper areas toward boss fights, with discoveries and journal entries adding to your collection.

Descend into an abyss, capture enemy creatures, and transfer their moves and traits to build a team for turn-based battles.
