You control a defensive turret in a microscopic world, aiming and firing at waves of hostile microbes. Runs take place across several modes and increasing depths, with a vertical shoot-'em-up mode offering a different format.
Weapons come from combining four DNA bases, each associated with a different firing style, to create hybrid bioweapons. You can further shape your build with turrets, weapon mods, perks, and mutations that affect the run.
Between runs, research permanent upgrades and unlock more options. Runs are designed to last around 20 minutes, and can continue in Endless Mode; the six modes and multiple depths offer different challenges.
