You play as an Inheritor, a lizardlike survivor entering a hostile exclusion zone. Take contracts, build up supplies and money, and investigate the zone’s forgotten secrets amid a world shaped by catastrophe.
Explore connected outdoor areas and underground dungeons, scavenging for gear and following written clues to find mission targets. With no standard quest markers or location indicator, navigation depends on reading directions, studying the map, and learning landmarks.
Fight armed factions and strange creatures with a broad selection of weapons, ammunition, tools, and artifacts. Choose a starting class or customize your character, develop faction relationships through missions and combat, and adjust the rules and difficulty of each run.
