Set in an alternate, apocalyptic World War II, Zombie Army Trilogy casts players as fighters resisting Hitler’s undead forces. It combines the first two Nazi Zombie Army games with a third campaign.
Across 15 campaign missions, players shoot through waves of zombies and other undead enemies using rifles, pistols, automatic weapons, explosives, and traps. Positioning and movement matter as enemies press in, while the X-ray Kill Camera can show the damage from precise shots.
The game supports solo play and online co-op for two to four players, plus a one-to-four-player Horde mode across five maps. Players can select characters, customize weapon and explosive loadouts, and adjust difficulty and enemy numbers.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its co-op battles, the satisfaction of precise shots and the X-ray Kill Camera, and its eerie, pulpy atmosphere. Some also find the shooting and wave survival engaging solo, though others describe solo play as difficult or repetitive. Repetition and crashes or freezes on some newer systems are recurring complaints in the supplied reviews.
