Nordhold is a single-player tower defense strategy game in which you develop a medieval Nordic village and protect it from waves of enemies. As its defender, you prepare the settlement and its defenses as enemy routes expand across the map.
Each turn alternates between an economy phase and a defense phase. Build and upgrade town structures, allocate workers, and manage shared resources, then place and improve towers along enemy paths. During defense, enemies advance toward the village and your towers attack them.
Runs offer changing maps and choices of banners, relics, and other upgrades that can shape tower and economy strategies. Between runs, persistent progression unlocks buildings and upgrades; heroes and their spells add another layer of choices.
