Hexguardian is a roguelite, tower defense game where you build your own maps with hexagonal tiles! Build and upgrade towers, recruit armies, learn spells, construct wonders and place hexagonal tiles to create a path to enhance your defenses. With plenty of game modes and talents to unlock!

In this tower defense game, you shape the battlefield as you play by placing hexagonal tiles. The tiles extend or redirect routes and can open or close enemy portals, changing where waves approach from.
Defend your realm with towers, recruited units, spells, and powerful Wonders. Earn gold to build and upgrade defenses, and use terrain, weather, and elemental effects to help handle enemies arriving by land, sea, and air.
Standard runs let you choose upgrades as you progress and earn points toward a tech tree with additional towers, units, spells, and other options. Surviving further can unlock maps and difficulties; a separate Challenge Mode offers weekly rule changes, limited resources, and a leaderboard.
Players who enjoy Hexguardian often single out the unusual hex-tile map building, which gives them control over enemy routes and adds tactical choices to tower defense. They also appreciate the variety between runs, unlockable options, and the approachable visual style. These strengths are not universal: some players find the tile draws too random, the defenses insufficiently varied, or later stages hampered by performance and balance problems.
