Myths are 100% True

From the Devs

Myths are 100% True is a Fast-Paced Combat Side-Scroller that feels like X-Files if it was made by 12 year olds in Windows Movie Maker back in 2008

It's also a Game made by that one guy that worked on The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and made the obscure cult-hit indie game 'At Least There is Čeda Čedović' !

• Play as Hlev Pekarovic - a newly hired ‘Photoslav’ and master of ‘Aggressive Photography’. He works for ‘Teorija Tortino’, one of the CEOs of ‘Big Myth Company’. Only with his skills can he create the world’s biggest documentation of myths and legends and make the best myth video of 20XY !

• The Gameplay is about how a photo of Bigfoot is not as good as a photo of 2 Bigfoots:

A clean synergy of Fast-Paced Platforming and Combat. A Ridiculous movement system where dashing into slopes launches you in the air that somehow works hand-in-hand with the camera-based combat! (You can also buy infinite salad, macaroni or burek, but that's neither here nor there)

• This game's theme is a mishmash of all sorts of stuff that interests us; grounded by bizarre themes such as 'Late 2000s GTA Myth videos', 'Early Y2K surreal Optimism', 'Absurdist Comedy' and inspirations and influences so niche that you may as well be playing a game from an alternative universe.

• The game’s tone is a throwback to the strange, yet more light-hearted and vibrant charm of the late 2000s internet. A Varied, Eccentric, Genuine, Replayable and Player-Expressive game !

(All of this fast, snappy movement may look overwhelming, but it's surprisingly easy to pull off.)

(Plus it can still be played more calmly for those who wanna take it slow and observe the strange little background details (which may or may not be clues to some secret you haven't found yet))

If you like the surreal feeling of regularly experiencing surreal events and highly specific easter eggs & details that are so baffling you can't help but laugh, then this game is for you!
