Bloons TD 5 is a tower-defense game in which you defend tracks from waves of Bloons by placing monkey towers beside their routes. Each tower attacks in a different way, so placement matters when trying to stop the Bloons before they reach the end.
Build and improve a defense using 21 tower types, each with two upgrade paths and activated abilities. Special Agents can join the defense, while Specialty Buildings and the Monkey Lab add further upgrades and abilities to develop.
Play across more than 90 tracks in different modes and difficulty settings, or take on Special Missions, Random Missions, Daily Challenges, Boss Bloon events, and online co-op. Beating tracks unlocks Freeplay, and continued play opens up additional upgrades and content.
Players in the supplied reviews often enjoy the straightforward tower-defense loop, finding satisfaction in choosing tower combinations and placements, upgrading defenses, and gradually unlocking more options. Many also praise the abundance of maps and challenges, the game's lasting replay appeal, and its nostalgic connection to the Flash-era games. Some reviews prefer its simpler approach to later entries, while others find it dated or repetitive; complaints also mention co-op friction and lost progress.
