In a 2.5D fantasy world, you create and develop a character to battle enemies and explore the lands. There are no fixed classes; your abilities and equipment shape your approach.
Travel through biomes, villages, and procedurally generated environments and dungeons. Explore points of interest, find items, and fight groups of enemies along the way.
Death is permanent for each character, but some progress carries over to the next: exploration, items, and gold. New characters let you try different combinations of abilities and traits.
Players who enjoy the game often point to experimenting with skills and character builds, its pixel-art presentation, and exploring its biomes and dungeons. Some describe the runs and combat as fun or absorbing, while others find the experience short or repetitive.
