You play as an unseen hacker helping Hope escape a closed, authoritarian facility. Rather than controlling her from a conventional third-person view, you watch through its surveillance cameras and direct her through the environment.
Switch between cameras to track guards, find safe routes, and guide Hope past danger. Hack security systems to open doors and devices, and use distractions or special abilities to create openings while avoiding detection.
The adventure unfolds across five episodes, mixing stealth with puzzles and exploration. Collect documents, recordings, and other information to learn about the society and support upgrades to your abilities.
Reviewers who enjoy République often praise its unusual camera-based perspective, which makes surveillance central to both the stealth and the setting. The oppressive dystopian atmosphere, world-building, and voice acting also draw positive comments. Others find the camera navigation and stealth repetitive or awkward, and reactions to the story’s pacing and ending are mixed.
