Lost in Anomaly

You wake on the ninth floor of an unfamiliar building and must reach the first floor to escape. The game is a single-player, first-person horror experience focused on inspecting the building's rooms and corridors.

Compare each floor with what you have seen before, looking for unusual changes in objects and surroundings. Mark the anomalies you find; some are only visible with a UV flashlight.

Once you have marked the anomalies on a floor, the elevator can take you lower. Miss one, and you are returned to the ninth floor. Jumpscares and occasional pursuing threats add horror interruptions to the descent.

Some players enjoy the focused anomaly hunt, finding it engaging to compare floors and search for subtle changes. Others appreciate the short, tense horror setup, its unsettling atmosphere, and jumpscares that caught them off guard. These positives are often qualified by complaints that scares can feel excessive and that spotting or marking anomalies can be frustrating.
