In an alternate-history realm, you play Xuan’s second prince as foreign invaders hold the north and political factions contend for power in the south. His struggle to secure the throne is tied to the campaign to reclaim the lost territory.
The game presents live-action scenes interrupted by choices about court alliances, family, governance and military action. Decisions can alter later events and open different story branches; some battle sequences also include QTEs.
Progress through a chapter-based story, following the prince’s changing role in the state and its wars. Branches can lead to multiple endings, with outcomes shaped by decisions made across the story.
Players who praise the game often highlight the cast’s performances, the costumes and sets, and its live-action presentation.
